Hello Jacy,

You do not mention which medication you are on from the dermatologist but spironolactone is the most common oral medication prescribed and it can take 6-12 months to see how it works, then it needs to be continued indefinitely.

Essential oils with Lavender, Cedarwood, Rosemary, Thyme or Peppermint can boost hair growth related to androgenetic alopecia. They work similarly to Rogaine or minoxidil for ladies with more natural ingredients.

There are laser treatments that can be done at home or in a clinic setting to boost hair growth as well.

Platelet Rich Plasma PRP is another option to help boost hair growth for this diagnosis.
